All is stillA Poem by Audrey - Butterfly Womanthoughts of winter's chill
‘All is still’
Light streams through the window casting fairy glamour about the room
Strange shadows dance in distant corners
Winter’s chill held at bay
Summer’s glory remembered in the radiance
Silence from the world outside
No children playing in the street
All is still
Birds’ song now a distant memory
Leaves dress the floor before them
Crisp underfoot
Blustering wind grabs them and waltzes with them in the ether
If I pull back the curtain of light about the window what will I see?
