Mind full of desire

Mind full of desire

A Poem by Aura

She picks flowers, as she lays in the grass, under the moonlight

Her mind wanders

The night air is filled with her soft humming

She can't stop her constant thinking

He always consumes her thoughts

She lets her eyes close, her dark eyelashes contrast greatly against her pale skin

He pushes the few stray hairs out of her face, and kisses the spot where they once were

He kisses her nose, her pale, freckled cheeks, her dimpled chin, but never her lips

She is grateful for that

With the tip of her finger, she traces the outline of his perfect face

From his long, angular nose, peach colored cheeks, dark, lush lashes, plump, pink lips, and muddled chesnut hair

She thinks she loves him

Confused thoughts

Whispered nonsense

He's all she ever wanted..

Her eyes snap open

Heartfelt, earnest dreams, turn to heartache

She'll never have what she desires

Gorgeous images especially held within the first few lines, two spelling checks: line 7: 'pushs I think pushes, and the same line, the second 'where' maybe should be a were? But love the simple elegance, great ideas and words that hold graceful sweetness.'

What amazing imagery. I feel almost like I was there...you describe her feelings and her emotion so beautifully. What a tragic ending though. We can never have what we most desire.
