Trees

Trees

A Poem by Austin Skye Elsborg
"

A freewrite describing a scene, full of imagery. Something to read when you need to escape.

"
Trees bow before me, green needles cluster together bearing the weather. Slowly softly, light as a feather
Flakes of snow drift around me. Glittering, flickering in the light of my fire, endless wood burning higher.
Laying in a bed of dirt soft and warm
Here I can be safe and away from harm. Soft light around me will always surround me shining brighter. Mixed with the flames of my lighter. Silver chrome supports this dome of sanctity and solitude hiding my face protecting its grace.

I like the poem, for it is full of imagery, however your spacing of the poem is odd. I can't understand the point of the stanza breaks where you put them, and it almost seems as if your purpose would be better served with a paragraph story. But that's just focusing on the bad, because you don't need to improve on the good.

I like this piece, I think the imagery is good. It makes me think of a forest in winter time and a nice warm fire to just lay besides, which sounds nice to me.
