TreesA Poem by Austin Skye ElsborgA freewrite describing a scene, full of imagery. Something to read when you need to escape.
Trees bow before me, green needles cluster together bearing the weather. Slowly softly, light as a feather
Flakes of snow drift around me. Glittering, flickering in the light of my fire, endless wood burning higher. Laying in a bed of dirt soft and warm Here I can be safe and away from harm. Soft light around me will always surround me shining brighter. Mixed with the flames of my lighter. Silver chrome supports this dome of sanctity and solitude hiding my face protecting its grace. © 2012 Austin Skye ElsborgAuthor's Note
