You are gone

You are gone

A Poem by AutumnRose
"

Love

"

The sweet smell of morning air does not compare to you.
The evening sun when the day is done only reminds me that we are through.
I never thought i'd feel this way but now since I do.
You are gone and I am alone, do you realize that I love you?
the warm feeling from your arms, the smell of your shampoo.
The gaze at which you looked at me, the day i said I do.
the morning that you left me, I thought it wasn't true.
But look where lies have got me, alone and without you.

So moving, so truthful. So much heart ache. Love hurts--you've really expressed its pain.

"But look where lies have got me, alone and without you."
(admire that line)

it's beautiful and tragic, which I assume is its purpose. It flows nicely and depicts its story well. It seems short, but because the lines are long it is definately much more. I am touched and sympathetic.
