Blessings of Nature

Blessings of Nature

A Poem by Mira Windsor
"

This poem talks about finding a safe space where you can run to escape. Nature, and the Forest is mine.

"

Green, the hue associated with peace,

Enticed by the trees surrounding my being,

The breath of nature surrounding my being,

Bringing calmness and light into my corrupt dark soul,

Quiet whispers of the wind and the sound of rustling leaves.

Its gentle warmth seeps into my heart, the chirp of birds like a lovesong to my ears,

The forest is my home,

Nature is where my soul rests,

Where inner voices go silent,

Like the morning sun, brightening up the world,

My spirit awakens amongst the trees and across the oceans,

An escape from harsh brutal realities,

Where I can go wild, nothing to hold me back

My safe space,

Treating all the darkness and demons within me,

Nature, the forrest, sitting on a tree branch, notebook in my hand spilling words onto paper,

Clearing my head of disease,

It is my happy, and safe place,

Very nice imagery here. We all should have such a place to which to retire in the face of an increasingly difficult world. Still, do a spell check on the second word of line 7.
