Unmasked in certainty

Unmasked in certainty

A Poem by Avelina

I am unmasked from certainty,
dry witnessed to the stark of dusks fragile disposition.
I enjoy the in between meetings of when light transitions;
As many before have,
and have relished in love as well as sins of self deception.
I have sang songs of myself to my core and I assume others have engaged in similar activity; similar delusions,
Of grand folklore and respite.
To be left breathless,
always having to be rescued and hold tight to anchor
