Fire-Fly

The poem is narrated by a Fire-fly, who believes he can do something to the world, that he can bring light in darkness. He believes he is lucky to have a beautiful life even though his life is short.

The darkness of the sky

And with it a vivid light

Shone the moon from far

With it the blinking stars

I stared at the starring sky

With a faint smile

In the silence of the night

I flew around and around

Enjoying my diminutive life.

I came to earth today

Never knowing when I leave

But some time spend with happiness

Is something only lucky ones get

The smile I bring on the face

Of the ones who look at me at night

My life may be way too short

But I spread out to the world Light...
