A lightbulb - one of a million.
A life - one of six billion. Useful to those who make use of it; Useless, forgotten, once it's gone. Cheap enough to make - all you need are some chemicals, and the right parts fitting together. Cheap enough to lose - you can always just pop another one out of the assembly-line delivery rooms. Glass-smashed bones and tendons strewn across dumps and back alleys.
