Never Forgetting

Never Forgetting

A Poem by Lola Nad

Drowning once again in a pool of tears
Deep in the mind, an empty scream
To be left alone, a call for help
Ignores answers, allow misery.
A new day, same beginning
New people, never changing.
Alone always, pushes people
Avoiding fatality, don't let in hope.
Hunted eyes, even angels can die
Sleep all day, cry all night
Avoid people, avoid questions
Staying alone, loneliness strikes.
A dark cycle, never ending
Fight it away to drown better
Put on a mask, bottle it all
Hide it all in, self-pitying.
Crash back inside, hating yourself
More reasons to dive in deep
Another set, away with pain
Anger and bitterness deep in the eyes.
Scars never leave, memories stays
Deep in the skin, never forgetting.
