Her body moves to the steady beats of drums
bells bounce; bound around her bony ankles
beads of sweat, like precious stones, swim
on her skin, mating with sage-filled air.
Her feet, bound by the crescendo, stay in step
as she spins around, clockwise, her energy
is so mesmerizing that the people around her
are pulled in. The drummers continue on,
possessed. As the candle flames grasp
at the sky her mind releases into her soul; heartbeat
one with Goddess. Energy gorges the sacred

space and all within – when at last the drums
slow; her heart reverberates the pulse -
 
now a ghostly memory caught
on the edge –
of reality.

Beautifull written! You did an excellent job describing the deosil movement in pagan rituals. Everything about it reminded me of the Craft. Good job!
