Colours

Colours

A Poem by Azis A.N.
"

I'll cherish our memories together.

"
It’s hard for me to accept you’re gone.

It was only awhile ago we were holding on.

I try not to think about the wrong.

But the guilt always comes along.

I know you had to go.

I know I can’t force you to stay.

All I have now is our photo.

But why does it look so gray?

You used to give it colours.

You used to give me colours.

It can never be the same. I need and miss you so.

I don’t know what to do or which way to go.

I know you had to go.

Your time was up.

But deep down, I still couldn’t let you go.

I don’t want to give you up.

I keep thinking about you everyday.

Why won’t these feelings go away?

You were more than just a friend.

Someone I thought would be there for me,

Until the end.

It should’ve been me to take your place.

It should’ve been me to take the final rest.

Just know you can never be replaced.

I will forever cherish your final embrace.

For as long as I am alive,

I promise our memories will survive.

I love you so and it’s hard for me to say goodbye.

I just really wish you didn’t die.
