Nothing is Out of Bounds

Nothing is Out of Bounds

A Poem by B-poet

Nothing is out of bounds

It may be disturbing and profound

To hear about innocent people catching bullets

In a movie theater

Depicting their screams of suffering

Was a catalyst within the mind

Of the inflictor

Who embodied an offering

Disguised as punishment

In the aisles of spectators

Being entertained by the premiere feature

What a national headline to be apart of

To venture that far from normality

Only explains

It came from a source of pain

That one person felt to inflict

Malice In vain

On everyone else because of the cards

He was dealt

His future was dimishing

Theirs were more promising

The inflictor had a feeling to be paid back emotionally

From what went wrong in the beginning

Nothing is out of bounds

Getting caught in the worldly net of social deceit

My gain your loss

I’ll never met face to face with my foe

Called defeat

Remember nothing is out of bounds anymore

How Unethical to the core

Can a nation become

To many loose screws

And not a solid foundation

Propaganda hanging out with misfortune

Not enough restitution

For what has gone wrong

In the end have faith that salvation will remain strong and true

Remember nothing is out of bounds

Good or Evil for the sake of me or you

The title intrigued me is why I read this poem. After reading it over a few times I have to say I don't care for this one. There are parts that I think are very, very powerful and strong (the last 5 lines), but the piecing together of this current event with this theme seems grafted on and not organic to it. The conclusions drawn may or may not be valid in general, but in this particular case they are simply erroneous - no way to know of their validity.

Still, an interesting idea.
