Searching

A Poem by B. Boileau
"

For the survivors of the Vegas 58

"

Searching

You stare at moonbeams glowing across the night

And you wonder about the time gone by

You start to think something isn’t right

And you can’t help but wonder why

And you cry because you don’t understand

What could have happened between now and than

So you look for the answer that seems right

And you search your soul throughout the night

But you feel alone, for reasons unknown

And you still can’t see the light

You don’t know how much more you can tolerate

But you still can’t get it out of your mind

You listen to the music to try to escape

And you pray for a helpful sign

And you dream of trying to break away

It never seems to ever work out that way

So you look for the answer that seems right

And you search your soul throughout the night

Don’t dream it away, and maybe someday

Your soul will begin to ignite

Excellent rhyme scheme here! I love the moon and the sounds and the harmonies and the colors! :)

it seems when searching for answers..especially soul searching....the more we find, the more questions arise...
there are more questions than answers...but searching will at least ignite the soul...
it is the journey to find that seems most important...
