Hurt Me Bad

Hurt Me Bad

A Poem by Autumn L. Eaves

I wish I had someone
to steal away my pain.

it's too much to bear,
this aching of the heart.

The tightness of my chest
adds to the pain.

With my free-falling tears,
there is no gain.

I'm a mess.
There's no denying it.

My hands shake, my body goes numb.

I can't think straight.
I can't run.
I'm finished. I am done.
