If I only knew you

If I only knew you

A Poem by Ralphy
"

That sweet imagine in the back of your mind

"

If I only knew you

As I fight for my life
I see you in the colors
of my mind ,and wonder
why I never knew you
before
or why I might have
mistaken you for just
an ordinary person.

Life’s visions are absent
in the world
that surrounds me
and the lake is calm
even in the tense of the storm,
I wonder what that means
or what I might do
if you left my mind.

Where would I go?
How many tears
would fall
from these dry eyes?

I will ponder
this for days to come…
listening to the rumble
of my heart
trying to keep my feet
firmly against the ground
for if I fell
I know,
getting the will
to rise again
would be as difficult
as putting out the Sun.

This is such a sad write! But still you paint beauty with your words...
Thankyou for sharing the depths of your soul- even the darkest parts that are coming to light :)
