I sold my soul

I sold my soul

A Poem by Ralphy

I sold my soul

I sold my soul to be with you

to share the wonders of your smile

to hear you laughter thundering down

to see your lips so plump and fit

to taste them, like a sugar fix

I sold my soul to be with you

gaze into your eyes of green, brown and blue

to tunnel along in a sea of passion

to watch you, as they pulse to each wink

I think I’m lost, and starting to sink

I sold my soul to be with you

your touch so warm and full of life

I can tell that what I feel is really right

the spine tingling special effects

has control over my common sense

which brings me to the question of why

I sold my soul for this natural high

deeply sad! really a moving piece of work....some questions are never answered, coz they only have one answer, "it was destined".......loved the twinge in this piece....put up in a very nice manner

You must have had it bad Ralphy because I would not sell my soul for anything. I realize you're speaking metaphorically...haha.

I just think the narrator thinks the World of a particular woman and would be willing to do mostly anything to win her heart.

Love does make us irrational at times although I don't want to deviate from the beauty of the verse. Common sense and love. What a dilemma... Can we have one without the other? I think I'll conjure up Einstein and ask him. lol.

Love this!

Sounds like a couple of my relationships... very well written... fully of mixed emotions and regret.... sometimes love just bites.

The things we sacrifice for love. Though if the soul has to go......... well...... hmm. Probably not a good thing.

This is a great piece, Ralphie (no surprise there). The sentiment -- emotional impact and confusion falling for the wrong (or even the right) person can have on us as and our ability to function normally.

Well done my friend :)
