Cliff Jumping

Cliff Jumping

A Poem by Empress Ophelia

Im sick of all things

That disconnect me from myself and the earth

I need to be passionate about something

Other than you.

You’re touch makes me weep

And your kiss helps me sleep.

But what am I going to do

When I sleep alone?

Im jumping between high distances

I have never been afraid of heights

But I’m afraid of you.

And still I jump,

While you rest.

I know you’re sad,

But I am too.

I wear the color yellow

In hopes to feel happy.

All i’ve been wearing is black.

Give me your hand and I got your back,

Just stop and look.

Im here.

I’ll always be here.
