Teenage Years

Teenage Years

A Poem by Bailie Germs
"

Teenagers struggle a lot, but what do you expect? It is the teenage years,

"
theyve made us laugh
theyll make us cry
we might say we want to die
but deep inside we wanna cry

happiness will find us
the saddness will evaporate
good times will come
and bad times will go
friends will be made
lives will be saved
bonds will be broken
and trust will be frayed

love will be fought for
and smiles will be true
scars will fade
and wounds will heal too
tears will be shed
and faces will become clear

the school year will start
and we may drift appart
but hey, welcome to the teenage years

Excellently penned! You've infiltrated a teenager's experience with pictorial clarification and good calibration. Especially when you wrote,"And trust will be frayed."

Yeah, you're definitely right. you portrayed the confusion of the teenage years very well. Being a teenager sucks most of the time.
I loved the last line, made me laugh a little.
Well penned :)
