Grant me farewell powdery heaven

Grant me farewell powdery heaven

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu
"

Sometimes your favorite things........

"
Grant me farewell powdery heaven
I'd rather skate my dreams on shorn surfaces
Leave me alone, snowy peppermint
I did love you once
but now I yearn for some torridity.

Snow drifts once enfolded my hopes
I waited for winter storms
hungry of some niveous contentment
So I cuddled close in the wintry darkness
To find some glacial warmth.

Now the frigid aura brings me down
making me fragile as a hyperboreal truth
Frail as a gelid lie
I am yearning for some sunlight
grant me kindness of glowy sun.

Although the flow of the lines aren't perfect; I like the concept.

i think that you have used some really unusual descriptions......
"powdery heaven" captivated me somewhat
"snowy peppermint" left me baffled and less convicned
sorry to be so pernickerty, this is just how I interpreted
the poem, all the best

very well done with this one the way people get tired of seasons I'm guessing or maybe a person who's as seasonal as weather you would love it at first but go back to the warmth like humans usually do

elegant and so lovely, like the snow it's written about, I think all have cabin fever by now, I enjoyed reading this lovely write.

I don't have snow where I live, but I guess it would be tiresome after a while...
