Do You Wonder Where You Land?

Do You Wonder Where You Land?

A Poem by Bane

If you follow rabbits
You will fall in holes
Is this an obscure habbit
Or a journey of the soul
Is a white rose painted red
Still a rose at all
Is this a misconception
Or a metaphor of the fall
Of our own senses
And what we perceive
Our concept of reality
And what's behind the scenes
If one pill makes you smaller
The next one makes you grow
If you never try them
How will you ever know
Metaphors and anecdotes
Try or not to try
They will never serve their purpose
If you leave them all behind
You need not chase a rabbit
To learn about yourself
When white roses are blooming
Leave your paint upon the shelf
And as for those pills
To shrink or to grow
When in doubt, double the dose
Its the only way to know
Do not think you are so fragile
Or lost, never to be found
Keep your thoughts agile
But your feet still on the ground
Lose all your fears
Forget all your dread
There is no matriarchal tyrant
That will claim your head
We are all just catapillars
We are puffs of smoke
We are the punchlines
To someone else's joke
Where is this all leading
How deep does this all go
You could try to ask a rabbit
But, I doubt he even knows.
