Author's Note
|
The Cohens' network was the only one in North America dedicated solely to atomic spying for the Russians. They were the first spies to deliver to the Soviets a complete diagram of the first A-bomb. They have been mentioned in previous books on Cold War spying but Operation Whisper is the first to study in detail their "two lives" as Morris and Lona Cohen in America and Peter and Helen Kroger in England.
