Reasoned Romance

Swiftly,

She held me tightly,

Her soft, manicured hands,

Lovingly squeezing the last life out of my throat,

Until I slumped forward into her augmented bosom,

Nearly losing conciousness – but not quite.

She opened a lazy "s",

From my neck to lumbar spine,

With the finest dissection scapel money can buy,

And, one by one, teased each nerve root,

First into unimaginable, molten glassy, hot sharp pains,

Then into dull throbs fading into numbness from which

They could never heal.

Slumped on the raw marble floor,

Between the excutive bathroom's shower stalls,

I, a puppet unstrung, watched unimpressed as

The slow red puddle from my heart,

Oozed alowly down the drain

Without witness or sound.

And that,

My dear students, is why I no longer date redheads
