THE DAYS WITHOUT ME

THE DAYS WITHOUT ME

A Poem by Basu Gupta
"

fictitious write...hope you like it..!! Intro - fictitious write, the main character is an immortal soul of a dead body and the girl concerned is his beloved..

"
Finally my funeral was completed with flowers
Some days were passed with she crying night and day,
'Why can't she move on and live her life?
Why can't she just forget me and stay..'

I wish I can hold her hand
I wish I can wipe her tears
All I'm now is a helpless soul
Just waiting her to recover from fears..

My heart's still thumping at a furious speed
That I myself felt to cry and weep
I don't think I can bear this pain
All I want my loving baby to sleep...

Still she's crying and weeping so loud
Rage is in my eyes,I just want to end this in a while
Every human on this planet so wide
I want to shoot who did steal her smile....

But I'm just helpless and responsible too
For her pain and make her sad..,
I just wish God to take away my blood,
Just to pay the debts of her tears,so many,shed..

But I'm too lying in a restricted grave
Where my body is already eaten by insects and worm
I can't do anything at all
Just entitled to see her untill I'm completely gone....

Grammar ;)

But I love the content, it's so deep and so emotional- so powerful. I really felt that watching my beloved cry as I lie helplessly dead is truly heartbreaking. Being so weak-- It frustrates you :(

Lovely poem

Hahahha you're welcome XD
This rather invoked quite a few feelings within me.
It reminds me of a Latin Phrase: "Memento Mori" remember your health--or remember your mortality. Throughout the days of snow, and the grave beneath--there always lies that one question about your beloved in life; how things will go when your body fails to rise again. How the pain and agony that is clearly expressed within a death, and the soul to be an onlooker to the pain that demands to be felt. With the only thing that mends--time being a seer over things, until his beloved passes so they can see each other again. This poem reminds me that death is not a goodbye, but rather a birthday. And for all these wandering thoughts and more--thank you.
