Just 16.

Just 16.

A Poem by Roberta
"

A poem, about the prejudice of young love.

"
When you're sixteen and in love,
No one seems to care.
Your friends say that it won't last,
And your parents just despair.

But, you can't help the way you feel,
Your heart is just too giving.
And with your lips, you do seal,
a hopeful way of living.

Dreams of the future fill your head,
and desires swill your mind.
Yet you think of all the bad things said,
and only doubt you will find.

But when you love someone, and they love you,
Nothing seems to matter.
Knowing that they feel the same way too,
Makes your heart more liable to shatter.

You're so young, and so in love,
and to you, it's all you care about.
And all the bad things you are above,
and with your love, you can not live without.
