Trust in God

This is just something I wrote when I felt alone but then realized I am never alone if I trust in the Lord to guide me. I usually turn to this when I need a breath of fresh air.

My tears are a silent cry for help,

when there is nothing left of me.

I sit alone and wonder why,

I forever want to be free.

Maybe I should be more grateful,

for the life that I endure.

But all I ever wanted,

was for my heart to feel secure.

Then I remember why I should never ever be afriad.

Jesus paid it all for me,

I have it made.

I have a great new joy, reborn within my heart.

Knowing you were there all along.

You saved me from the start.

You took it all away from me,

all my pain and sin destroyed.

The blood you shed for all mankind,

has me completely overjoyed.

I have a brand new lead on life,

I now know that I do matter.

You picked me up from all my pieces,

even though I felt shattered.

Thank you for helping me God.

I am no longer ashamed.

I know it was you who made me whole,

you from whom I was made.

Make me something special Lord,

to help a world filled with hate.

For I know that I will soon stand before you,

at Heaven's golden gates.

All my prayers have been answered,

I am now set free.

You broke my chains and shackles,

I am free for eternity.
