What Would You Do If...

What Would You Do If...

A Poem by Becca

If I gave you my heart,
Would you destroy it?

If I told you I'm leaving,
Would you let me walk away?

If I said I wish to die,
What would you tell me?

If I said hello,
Would you say it back?

If I simply were never to be,
Would you have gotten by?

If I gave you my love,
Would you take advantage of it?

If I showed I cared,
Would it matter?

If I died today,
Would you even notice?

Hello, I'm right here.
Hello, notice me.

Hello, I'm not invisible.
Hello, I'm not a toy.

Hello, I too have feelings.
Hello, I'm no longer fixable.

If I told you I loved you,
What would you do?

If I said goodbye,
What would you say?

If I said I'm better off dead,
What would cross your mind?

If I said I'm no longer,
What would it matter?

Goodbye, I'm leaving.
Goodbye, I'm gone.

Goodbye, I stopped caring.
Goodbye, I stopped loving.

Goodbye, because it doesn't even matter.
Goodbye, because I'm too far gone.

About
I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
