Rocks

Rocks

A Poem by Becca

The flow of the stream sets a way,

setting free the loose rocks,

stuck to the bottom with no life.

They are neighbors through and through.

Splashing against them like a weak wave,

flowing over and past rocks dug into the ground.

Each one has its unique personalities,

setting them apart even though they share a home.

Rocks are a family living in a river

when loosened, they make a new home

further along the water until at last

They stand their ground.

Rocks repeat the moving over and over again.

It seems as if they are telling a story,

each time they are moved.

The flow of the river and stream sets a way

for rocks to live freely.

About
I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
