She misses G and his openness and he way he told her everything, whispered all his intricate thoughts to her, late at night as they lay intertwined in the bed. Adam is much different. She has tried to communicate with him before, casually bringing up issues that bother her, but he always refuses to respond. Just stares at her with his cold brown eyes before turning away. This is the it is. This is the way HE is, she tells herself.
