The edge of depression

The edge of depression

A Poem by Mayue Naoya
"

Random poem about my depression, recent recovery from an attempted overdose, and my addiction to liquor.

"

I miss when things were easy
Life got too complicated
Happiness has left me
And now my soul is jaded

What happened to those times?
When I was chipper
So much stress
Made me turn to liquor

It brings back bad memories
Of what hurts the most
A failed attempt of suicide
It was an overdose

What happened to those times?
When I was chipper
So much stress
Made me turn to liquor

Author's Note

Mayue Naoya
I know this is not one of my best works. but I have not been able to write much in the hospital, because pencils are considered weapons to harm yourself.
