Why don’t politicians, for once give us a treat?

As we view them on the screen, squirming in their seat,

Uncrossing legs, their busy hands, not knowing where to go,

One question always rattles them, “A simple Yes or No?”

 

They skirt around the question, with all their “if’s and buts”,

And blame the other parties, for all the drastic cuts,

Their eyes like Pelham’s puppets, putting on a show,

Can’t conjure up an answer, “A simple Yes or No?”

 

Let’s hook them to a polygraph, where each will face the task,

To answer true the questions, that us, the people ask,

They’ll represent their parties, upon this panel show,

The only way to get the truth, “A simple Yes or No?”

 

 

So when it comes election time and they’re marching to your door,

Selling you the rehearsed lies, that we’ve been fed before,

Their promises are just like seeds, for many do they sew,

To harvest truth, we must reap, “A simple a Yes or No?”

Really detest politicians who will not, or refuse to, or avoid a simple "yes" or "no" answer to a question. Even worse, they try to answer it with a question of their own!!! This is a global problem GRRRRRRRR........
