Holding it Together

Holding it Together

A Poem by Bella-Marie

Breathe...

Remember, this is a matter
Of Life or Death

Breathe...

Remember, you really
Only need One

Breathe...

Remember, this isn't for you
It's for your son

Breathe...

Remember, this will save
His life

Breathe...

Remember, don't get scared
The surgeons know what they're doing

Breathe...

Remember, do you want some
Future grandkids?

Breathe...

Remember, he can't live
On dialysis for ever

Breathe...

Remember, you only need
One kidney

Breathe...

Simon, when I wake up next to you
We'll both be recovering
But we'll both be living
With happiness and laughter
For a little bit longer

Yeah, I understand. Hmmm, interesting topic and conveying theme. Weird for me, but I like it. Transplants scare me, I don't know why. I like the repetitioned word Breathe giving emphasis on the title "holding it together". So another poem well done, Bella-Marie.
