When life was happy

When life was slow

When you and I

Were perfect together

It seemed we could stand

Whatever the weather

And we both said

If we were to part

We'd stay together

We made sure from the start

But now it seems

You stay away

You seemed to have gone

Quite astray

You seemed to have listed

You seemed to have fled

You seemed to have whispered

And now I have bled
