Whooo?

Whooo?

A Poem by A. Kim Spradling
"

Sometimes we see more clearly in the dark!

"

I have a mighty friend.

He always talks to me.

He answers from a place

High upon a tree.

I’ll say a word or two

And before I can speak more,

He sings to me a lullaby

From ancient tales of lore.

His eyes are always wary.

Mostly through the night.

When he spies a tiny wanderer,

His large wings take to flight.

In the dark he tends and guards me,

Carefully from his perch.

Ever regal, at all times there

On his never ending search.

His talons are so mighty

Clasp’d on his rugged roost.

His feathers soft and downy,

My senses are seduced.

Keep up your watch, my friend.

I feel so safe inside.

With your gallant conversation,

In only you I will confide.

This is great, Belle. I can see your friend in my mind.

I did notice a typo - I believe you meant 'wanderer' in the following line:
'When he spies a tiny wander'

Looking forward to reading more of your work.
