pain, tears, emptiness and regret

Days have turned to months and months into years
I have waited patiently
Just to have a moment with you
To hold you
To kiss you
And to tell you I love you

If I could turn back the hands of time
I would not hesitate
Time is supposed to heal all wounds
but mine is still fresh
Endlessly I knocked on heaven's door
just to see you again

Why must it be you
I want you back
My heart yearns for your love
My soul calls calls out to you
my body is dying for your touch

Someone please put a call through to heaven for me so I can hear his voice
Heaven please split apart so I can see
him one more time and say goodbye
cause I never had the chance to
