The Foothold!

The Foothold!

A Poem by Bennett
"

Let your worries be gone, we gonna soot hit the dawn.

"

The heat gained momentum and peaked its prime,
found it hard, to strive for resistance & dime.
Took to the odds with a pinch of salt and lime,
reiterating, it was just a matter of time.

The soul cried foul, alleging a crime,
as I caved in to the terrestrial slime,
Seeking redemption, I bowed to the shrine,
to be comforted and called, You are mine.
