Bleeding LoveA Poem by BenjTurlik
Let the devil turn our fleshy gears,
Around our cogs and spindles red. Let our eyes drop saddened tears, Amongst our friends whom villains bled. Lancing for your pink and placid ears, Allow me to sleep upon your bed. Laughing are those knowing the years, A tranquil father is no nearer stead. Liquidity abound exists but from fears, Again we ponder from our busy head. Linked are these only by feelings near, A thoughtful jest beyond our tread. Light and airy tokens thrust and smears, An awfully heavy feeling on which we read. Love is boundless and to some it steers, About me it sinks my heart like lead. Laughing though, the sinking nears, Again my consciousness to a sled. Lingering on this cold sled on cold piers, Angered, lusting, and also loving I said. © 2017 BenjTurlik |
