Absolutely Ordinary

Absolutely Ordinary

A Poem by Benjamin Belcher

Girl with the big bright beautiful flower,

come sit by me, and don't say a thing.

I'll pretend my best to notice nothing,

and glance away indifferently,

    wondering how an old-fashioned trick,

like a girl with a flower, can mesmerize

             - a post gen-x

             - light-emission addicted

             - anti-everything

             - cynical, facetious

             - bitter, introverted

             - complusive, inner-ugly

             - repulsed, distraught, despondent

             - absolutely orindary

boy like me.
