A Poem by Benovic

You said
My love was so real
& lately she
Realized this,
A little too late but,
I'm just glad your
Pride let you
Come to this.
You pour your heart out
To me.
For the first time,
Roles reversed &
You were infatuated
With everything
I had always seen
In you.
You felt that
What I felt mattered
Finally.
It felt so good
To feel reciprocity.
It felt so right,
Her all over me.
Taking advantage because,
We both want it
Like a longing dream.
Sex on fire,
3rd degree burns
I knew you longed for me.
You thought it was
Too late
While I'm glad
It didn't take until
She was 90.
"You hate me"
I could never.
"You'll be mine one day"
If you say so.
"Because you're always there to ride
Whenever I hit your line"
Because I care for you.
"You could never deny me"
Please let go of your pride.
It's what broke us
In the first place.
Im proud that the person that,
I thought was perfect
Finally saw that
I was worth it.
Now you're
Coming back to me
Saying,
Could we ever be
But,
You ripped inside of me and,
Now you say I'm pretending that
I'm heartless.
Stop assuming,
I am who I am and
I'm not frontin' In front of you
Cause
That's not who I am.
You say you've
Come to realization
That you've missed out on
All my lovely contemplation,
Now you're
Contradicting everything
Acting like you know the situation.
Miss me with it,
Just be the person you are now
In the moment
Don't be afraid to
Love whoever loves you.
Don't repeat
The same mistakes.
You say you'll never be vulnerable
But,
Love is at stake.
Just be free,
Don't go back to
What once broke me.
