Subtle

Subtle

A Poem by Miles Wilburn

Like a train wreck in a parking lot
Like a car crash in a bathroom stall
Like some a*s backwards melody
that you play in your head as you fall asleep

Like trying a game with different rules
without telling the person what you're trying to do
You feel like you've got something to prove
But you only hurt yourself

You think you're being subtle but you're a wrecking ball
That rolls down the street smashing cars
You think you're being subtle but you're gonna fall
and everyone's gonna find you out.
