The Pit and The Pendulum

The Pit and The Pendulum

A Poem by Miles Wilburn
"

Watching a connection die.

"
The divide makes itself known.
I sigh, and know that we're slowly ending
Much like the pit and the pendulum.
It swings overhead looming..almost blowing the air at us
There's nothing to do now, there's nothing to say.
All we can do is wait.
But..there's this rage, this fury that screams change
but I can't change s**t without her, and she stands firm.
So we sit..and we wait.
