Happy Realization

Happy Realization

A Poem by Deepika

There were some that enjoyed frisking with my emotion,

There were some that were over-familiar with my affection

There were some that didn’t value my respect,

There were some that sued me for no wrong act,

There were some that burnt with envy watching me progress,

There were some that blocked my way to success,

But now,

I have preserved my feelings in a closet,

My kindness towards them is worn out,

I’m convinced they don’t deserve my respect,

Their actions or words nowhere seem perfect,

I add some more fuel to their discontent,

I start exploring better ways and shortcuts

Nice write up Deepika... these kind of people are the most irritating part of our lives..... i prefer to ignore these people at first but after that pay them back with more vigor....

You are right! Thanks Anurag for your kind review :)
Cheer up my dear, for each and one that caused you pain or suffering have lost a part of themselves, and inner strength is somehow finding the power to remain pure even if life tried to alter you. Lovely write!

Thank you Emily :) Glad you like it!
Sometimes we are so fed up of those coming in our path that we tend to change course.... I like the two stanza way of expression.
Just one thing in the last line that bothers me... Started exploring the better ways is all good but why shortcuts???

Well in that case it is quite an eye opener dear :)
I think in life we grow tired of people and things that cause a negative feeling in us such as people blocking our success and not valuing your respect. You portrayed this beautifully with your words. Good job!
