SHADES

SHADES

A Poem by Betty Hermelee
"

LOVE IS BLIND

"
Though the shades are drawn
upon my eyes
I forever sense
the spices of your sweat
cumin, cloves, mint, nutmeg
heightening in the murk
of my globe
so stimulating is your corps
I merely imagine your beauty
even more

Nicely original way to say "love is blind" . . . great details that summon all the senses, esp. SMELL! (love to get good smell off a poem!) Love your use of unusual words & unexpected ways to describe how another person's form beckons (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

This is a beautiful short poem Betty. Using the title love is blind and then considering a blind person using her other senses to recognise her love is a great idea and you've pulled it off brilliantly.
All the best.
