ONCE AGAIN

ONCE AGAIN

A Poem by Betty Hermelee
"

MOOD

"

ONCE AGAIN

My Evergreen trees

brown all winter

as my droopy face

rests in an abyss

far from nowhere

one candle, a shred of paper

words, an empty bottle

my psyche, my entire being

depressed from the darkness

inside and out

Perchance the outside

would diminish my mental pressure

should it lighten up forthcoming

I linger, in hope

that I may desert my bleak abyss

rummage for words to write in my journal

Once again

B.H.
