The price

The price

A Poem by biggerthenu

Laugher echoes over the rolling hills
Passionate love on a bed of flowers
Lacking luster sounding more creepy the more I remember
Eighty days late and a day short is what she said
The price has been paid the deeds done
Paralyzed by words cutting like knives
Through my ears straight to my heart

We all pay a price. In love, it can cost a lot. Well done.

The imagery is vivid. You can feel a sense of hopelessness and fear near the end of the poem. Very well written. Please keep writing and creating.
