Oh, I spilled my coffee on you 2

Oh, I spilled my coffee on you 2

A Poem by Bivita

The richness and the stillness of your coffee cup
the breath of air touching us
the eye contact i dreaded to reciprocate
the outline of your hair looking as silhouette from the sunset over your head

takes me where we are meant to be
i can see ourselves having a good time
me resting on your chest
your fingers circling my hair

you reading The Alchemist
coffee in our hands
a muslin blanket spread over us
the birds playful and noisy as always

"Take this! take this"
i hear a voice tapping on my shoulder
it was him
looking at me, smiling confusedly

As I feel my skirt burning
and lovingly he giggled and said
"Oh, you spilled your coffee on you"

Your poem is a beautiful and evocative description of a moment in time, where the speaker is lost in the richness and stillness of their coffee cup, the breath of air touching them, and the outline of their lover's hair. The imagery of the sunset and the silhouette of hair is particularly striking and paints a vivid picture in the reader's mind. The sense of nostalgia and longing is palpable as the speaker imagines a future where they are together, reading The Alchemist and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. The sudden interruption of the man tapping on the speaker's shoulder is an unexpected twist that adds a touch of humor to the poem. Overall, your poem is a beautiful meditation on love, longing, and the simple pleasures of life.

I loved how your mind drifted over coffee here. Nice thoughts too before the spill:) Enjoyed the read. Thank you.

I don't know my friend. Hot coffee on soft skin. Could hurt. I liked the flow of thoughts leading to the interesting ending. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
