The Woman Inside

The Woman Inside

A Poem by Black_Oxygen

The Woman Inside

The woman inside is being buried alive!!
Self esteem and image are in poor shape
It's truly a murder if she does not survive
Imposters have injured her will to escape

Inevitable results come after spirit abuse
I view your protective shield with disgust
We pay for unnecessary privilege misuse
It's very painful to witness the fall of trust

An ugly distortion of Mother Nature's play
Put inside a prison she cannot long abide
Her flower only blooms by the light of day
I'm hurt because I need the woman inside

Isolation may obscure that which is real from which is unreal
It may not let you see that you are reinventing a broken wheel

Darkness can conceal the brush of a feather with that of a log
It may disguise the kiss of your Prince with that of just a frog

The woman inside must not be buried alive
Each day is expensive before she is erased
Much depends on her to multiply and thrive
If she deceases, she can never be replaced

The helplessness I'm feeling force the tears
Seeing the evils as they pull and shove you
I hope my words soothe the chaos and fear
"You are not alone,  I will always love you"
