Staying Awake

Staying Awake

A Poem by Laura Lynn

Actually my rage embarrasses me,
Unlovely, it is, however, the fair
Fire that I need to drive me on,
Breath to treasure this day,
Laps around the frequent neighborhood,
Ever you had your rules and wouldn't tell me,
If I learned your rules, I would be orderly more so,
But it is speculation, like everything, don't you see me?
Eyes see you.  You thought you could be perfect,
Now you realize that invested in spite or sprite,
Every day the show of behaviors, intensifies,
Rude family, why couldn't we be
Beautiful and more perfect?
Like steeples and parapets,
Every city has their symbols,
I am tired of that city,
Bring me out of it,
To your country
And if we lived in the city,
Unfortunately you are not he,
Flirt with someone you like.
