To Love and Die

To Love and Die

A Poem by Nexus
"

.......

"
The window was her greatest joy
through it she saw his face
she wished that she could go to him
to be taken from this place.

She cried herself to sleep at night
her tears a ghostly mist
and waited by that window's breeze
for that face that caused her bliss.

But she could never leave this place
she could never go
for if what she felt was love
he would never know.

So by the window she sits and waits
for just a peak, a glimpse, a look
she waits forever, yet it's too late
for it was her heart, soul, and essence that mortality took.

This is excellent. I empathize with this woman's suffering more than I care to remember.
