Time

Time passes so quickly.

Time is passing by

At such horrifying speeds

Leaving us in old time's wake

Attempting to satisfy our needs

 

I wish time would slow

Or stop on its very track

Give me a scrap more time

To think through before I act

 

I see time pass me by

At times it seems so slow

But I can see its speed

The older and wiser I grow

 

My life seemed to drag on

Its ending seeming so slim

Now I see time leaving me

And hope for more time is dim

 

Time is still with me

Though is is not on my side

It will forever wear against me

Even if so hard I've tried

 

I have tried to go along

Use time as a resource

But since it has left me

I try not to remorse

 

Time will continue on

As it forever has

I will have to live with it

Let time heal my past

 

Time cannot heal scars

It only makes you forget

What happened so long ago

Or later make you forfeit

 

Forfeit your life to guilt

Or make you forget all together

So I will never forget

What happened that December

 

Time is passing by

Some can just move along

Some can walk beside it

For the rest of us: HOLD ON
