I never meant to burden anyone

I never meant to burden anyone.

Not one of God's creations under this sun.

This life I cannot always stand,

With its ruthless demand after demand.

And I cannot always control

The hate that dug itself into my soul.

I cannot always hold back the tears,

Or protect your ears.

The abuse,

The misuse,

Sometimes builds unbreakable walls.

For no one ever calls,

Because I shut them out.

They do not doubt

That I am worth nothing.

But that's the thing,

I needed someone to tell me I'm worth it,

Not that they needed to forfeit.

I never meant to burden anyone.

I just wanted help, before my world came undone.
